At this week’s IFA show in Berlin, Toshiba introduced its new LX835 all-in-one desktop PC.
The LX835 is a premium AIO with a capacitive multi touch screen, Intel Core processor, and Nvidia discrete graphics. The system is aimed at users who need large-screen computing for collaborative social networking as well as video enjoyment.
The LX835 comes with Windows 8 pre-installed, which works well with its multi touch screen. Its components are built into the screen, simplifying the design. The system features side-mounted USB 3.0 ports as well as back-mounted HDMI-in and USB 2.0 ports. The system also comes with a wireless keyboard and mouse packed in.
The LX835 features Onkyo-branded speakers with SRS Premium Sound 3D, for full sound while watching videos and listening to music. In addition to online sources, the LX835 can be equipped with a TV tuner for over-the-air viewing. The system comes with a wireless keyboard and mouse, plus the keyboard is full sized with a numeric keypad.
The LX835 can be equipped with a selection of third-generation Intel Core processors, including Core i7, up to 8GB of RAM, and up to a 1TB hard drive. The system comes with pre-loaded Toshiba programs in Windows 8’s new user interface. There will be tiles for Toshiba Desktop Assist, Toshiba Central, and Toshiba News Place in the Windows 8 UI (formerly known as “Metro”). The LX835 will be available in the same time frame as Windows 8, Oct. 26.
